The Altar Servers assist the priest at Mass by preparing the altar, carrying the cross and holding the prayer book. Training sessions are held several times a year.
Art & Environment
This group focuses on creating an atmosphere of worship in the church through art and environment. Even if you are not an artist, you can still participate through your willingness to help prepare the church for special seasons. Participations ranges from helping just one time to year-round involvement.
The mission of the Music Ministry is to deepen the experience of shared prayer by leading the community of St. Mary to fully participate in worship through song.
•Community Choir - Sings at the 4:00 PM Saturday and at the 8:00 AM & 10:00 AM Sunday Mass.
Practice - Tuesday at 7:00 PM in the Chruch Choir Loft.
•Choir of Angels & Saints - Sings for wedding and funerals.
Practice - When needed
•Bi-lingual Choir - Sings at the 12:00 PM (Noon) Bilingual Sunday Mass.
Practice - Thursday 8:00 PM in the Church Choir Loft.
•Spanish Choir - Sings at the Sunday Evening Mass.
Practice - Thursday at 8:00 PM in the Lower Church.
Eucharistic Ministers (English or Spanish)
Eucharistic Ministers assist the priest and deacon with distributing the Body of Christ at Mass. Training is provided.
Communion to the Homebound
Eucharistic Ministers are needed to distribute Eucharist to people who are homebound and who are residents of nursing facilities or independent living facilities within our parish.
Greeters consists of singles, couples or families who create a welcoming environment by greeting parishioners an visitors as they enter the church for Mass.
Lectors (English or Spanish)
Lectors proclaim the Word of God during the Liturgy of the Word of God during the Liturgy of the Word after prayerfully reviewing the scripture passage. Periodic training classes are provided.
Parishioners are encouraged and invited to spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament by making a visit to the Eucharistic Chapel The chapel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Participation requires a chapel orientation.
Ushers and greeters are the first line of hospitality, welcoming people into the church by opening hte doors, assisting those who need help, passing out missals, facilitating seating and otherwise helping where needed.
